Hello! It has been an exciting (but busy) week. I am now up to 29 followers-woo hoo! I wish that I had some sort of cool giveaway, but that will have to wait. I've been running around like crazy getting ready for the week's events, and I have come up with all of these great topics for blog posts! Unfortunately my project for my graduate class has become very time-consuming. I am at the point where all of the research is just running together and sounding like, "Blah, blah, blah," inside my head. I'll get there, but I may not get to do much posting in the next week.
Has anyone been to Staples yet? Lynn at Inside this Book was correct when she said that Staples had changed things with their penny sales. I went there yesterday and was so disappointed to hear that teachers can purchase 25 of the penny items, but they will pay regular price and then get the difference back in a Staples Rewards certificate. I was so upset that came home and wrote a huge letter to Staples (but I am sure that I won't have the nerve to actually mail it). This program does nothing to help save teachers money. I don't know about you, but I'm seeing where more and more families just aren't able to get basic school supplies for their kids. I am still going to Staples to buy their penny deals (just the limited number), but I am not trusting the Staples Rewards deal. I am a regular shopper there, but I never seem to be able to earn anything outside of my ink recycling rewards.
Check this out!
My school district won the Sylvia Charp Award for District Innovation in Technology at ISTE. I am so proud to be a part of the Mooresville Graded School District!
